Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. D/ Tauch

 This is a beautiful, highly detailed, 1/35th scale German Panzerkampfwagen IV Ausf. D/ Tauch In preparation for Operation Sealion, 42 Panzer Iv Ausf. Ds were converted to Tauchpanzer ("diving tank") with all openings such as the Commander's cupola, gun ports and machine gun mount covered with rubber sheeting and the turret ring protected by inflatable rubber ring while the exhausts were fitted with non-return valves. Air was supplied via a flexible 18-meter hose held on the surface by a buoy and they could submerge to a depth of about 15 meters with the maximum underwater speed about 3 mph.

Molded in grey and clear with over 400 pieces this plastic model kit features brass photo-etched parts and very detailed road wheels, fantastic detailing of the hull and a turret that rotates, tools, lights, hooks, pieces and equipment for the underwater running, individual track links that are easy to assemble and add incredible detail, and with the waterslide decals and detailed pictorial instructions this kit will be a joy to assemble and display
