Model Shipways 2001 Toward the end of
the 18th century, “Virginia built” boats were used as pilot boats from the
Delaware Capes to Hatteras. During the American Revolution and the War of
1812, the U.S. government issued privateering commissions to many privately
owned vessels of this type. Now you can build a true 1/48 scale replica of this historic boat that
will be over 20" long and a height of over 18" when complete. This wonderful
circa 1800, Entry Level Kit features a solid basswood hull, shaped and
drilled wooden blocks and deadeyes, Lead Free Britannia metal parts for the
pumps, galley stacks, and anchors, Brass Eyebolts, strops, rings and chain
plates, rigging line, wooden mast hoops, and plenty of pre cut wooden strips
for decking, cabin, mast and more are also included, three sizes of rigging
line, and with the very detailed plans, 40-page instruction book this kit
will be a joy to assemble and display (Display base and pedestals are not included.) Please Use Back Button To Return To Model Shipways |
