Vought SB2U-3 Vindicator Dive Bomber

   This is a beautiful, highly detailed, 1/48th scale Vought SB2U- Vindicator Dive Bomber. The third variant of the revolutionary "Vindicator" saw combat during the first months of the War in the Pacific. Operating from the airfield on Midway Island, the Vindicators made repeated attacks on the Japanese fleet at the Battle of Midway. Molded in grey and clear, and photo-etched parts with over 150 pieces this plastic model kit features depressed panel lines and raised details to simulate fabric surfaces, radial engine and accurate cowl, two-place cockpit is highly detailed and includes seats, belts, instrument panels, side panels, control stick, a miniature ring mount and machine gun, radio, armor plate, in the radio operator's position, optional position canopy, highly detailed engine with choice of open or closed cowl flaps, very detailed optional position landing gear, optional practice bomb dispensers or 100 lb. bombs, optional drop tank or 1000 lb. bomb mounted to the bomb brace, weighted or non-weighted tires, painting mask for the canopy and windows, and with the waterslide decals with markings for every aircraft assigned to VMSB-241- Battle of Midway, and detailed pictorial instructions this kit will be a joy to assemble and display.
